| Title: | Head Coach |
Joshua Jung begins his first season as head coach (second season overall) of the City College of San Francisco women's volleyball program in 2025.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Joshua Jung — better known as “JJ” — has been coaching volleyball for 17 years. A proud alum of Lowell High School (Class of 2008), JJ has coached at several schools within SFUSD, though he’s spent the majority of his career at Lowell. In 2019, JJ was the assistant coach for the Lowell Girls Volleyball team that captured the CIF Division 3 State Championship. In 2022, he helped lead Marin Catholic High School to an NCS Division 2 title as an assistant coach.
JJ is thrilled to be taking the reins of the City College of San Francisco Women’s Volleyball Program as head coach. Stepping into this role marks an exciting new chapter — one filled with energy, vision, and a commitment to building a competitive, team-first culture. JJ is eager to work with passionate student-athletes who want to grow both on and off the court, and he’s determined to help CCSF become a destination for hard-working players in the Bay Area and beyond.
His coaching philosophy focuses on inspiring athletes to be the best versions of themselves — instilling discipline, work ethic, and a love for the game. JJ is grateful for the coaches and mentors who have shaped his journey and continues to use those lessons to guide his evolving coaching style.
