Late goal lifts Rams to win at Reedley

REEDLEY – Sophomore Sydney Grundland Lanuza's goal in the 78th minute proved to be the game-winner for the City College of San Francisco women's soccer team in its 2-1 non-conference win at Reedley College on Friday.

Valerie Latu Nava gave the Rams an early 1-0 lead after she scored nearly immediately in the third minute off the contest of the assist from Luz Hernandez.

Reedley got the equalizer in the 37th minute and the game remained tied all the way until Hernandez collected her second assist, this time for Grundland Lanuza for the go-ahead goal.

Bailey Perales totaled 4 saves in goal for the Rams to earn the victory.

CCSF improved to 2-1 overall and is back in action on Sunday (Sep. 7) when the Rams take on Cypress College in a 2 p.m. non-conference game played at West Valley College in Saratoga.
