SAN FRANCISCO – The No. 22 state-ranked City College of San Francisco women's basketball team closed out another Coast Conference championship regular season with a 59-56 win over visiting College of San Mateo on Friday night.

An impressive 2024-25 season will extend into the postseason. On Sunday, the Rams received the No. 7 seed for the upcoming 3C2A Northern California Regional Playoffs.

As a top-8 seed, CCSF earned a bye in the opening round and will host either No. 10 Shasta College or No. 23 Taft College in a second-round game on Saturday, March 1 at 5:00 p.m. The contest will be a part of a playoff doubleheader as the Rams men's basketball team is also set to host a second-round contest at 7:00 p.m.

Ticket prices for the 3C2A postseason game at Brad Duggan Court at the Wellness Center are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at the CCSF Tickets Page.

The Rams head into the playoffs after wrapping up their ninth consecutive Coast Conference North Division championship with a perfect 10-0 record and are 18-8 overall under head coach Derek Lau.

CCSF is in search of its first-ever state championship and will look to return to the state tournament for the first time since 2017. The Rams were state championship runner up in 2011 and have reached the state tournament Final Four in 2010, 2011, 2016, and 2017.

No. 10 Shasta enters its first-round playoff contest with a 17-11 overall record and went 6-2 in the Golden Valley Conference to finish second. No. 23 Taft is 16-12 overall and was fourth in the Central Valley Conference at 5-7. CCSF did not face either possible opponent during the regular season.

Two wins are needed by the Rams to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on March 13-15 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
