Rams rally late to earn 2-2 tie at Lake Tahoe

LAKE TAHOE – Freshman Cristhian Umanzor scored a pair of late goals, his second coming in extra time, to help City College of San Francisco earn a 2-2 draw at Lake Tahoe Community College on Friday.

CCSF trailed 2-0 at halftime and was down all the way until the 70th minute when Umanzor scored off the assist from Antonin Lesperance to get the Rams on the board.

And just moments before the final whistle, Umanzor snatched a likely win for Lake Tahoe by knocking in the equalizer thanks to the assist off Michael Soto. Jonathan Ramirez tallied 4 saves for the Rams in goal.

With the tie, CCSF moved to 1-1-2 overall this season. The Rams are back in action on Tuesday (Sep. 16) when they host San Joaquin Delta College in a non-conference game at 1:30 p.m.
