The City College of San Francisco men's basketball team has stormed out to an impressive 11–0 start, quickly establishing itself as one of the top teams in the state. The Rams capped off November by winning the San Bernardino eight-team tournament, handing Santa Rosa its only two losses of the season along the way. They followed that performance with another statement victory last Saturday night, capturing the prestigious Modesto Tournament by defeating the host Modesto squad on its home floor—ending Modesto's undefeated run.
Leading the way has been Kenyon DeMuynck, who earned MVP honors in both tournaments. His impact on both ends of the floor has set the tone for the Rams' success. Vitor Oliveira has been an absolute beast and the Rams' go-to option, consistently delivering when the team needs a basket. Elliot Conley's steady, reliable play has provided composure and leadership, game in and game out.
On the defensive end, Ahmaree Muhammed has been elite, setting the standard with his intensity and effort. Offensively, Jaylen Wheeler, Jordy McKenzie, Marcus Robinson, and James Moore have all taken turns heating up from deep, making the Rams extremely difficult to guard as defenses struggle to key in on any one scorer.
Depth and pace have been hallmarks of this CCSF squad. The Rams routinely play 12 different players per game, wearing opponents down with relentless pressure defense and a fast-paced style of play. When everyone does their job, the Rams are proving to be a tough team to beat and at 11–0, they are showing no signs of slowing down.
